Description
A charming family-owned historic house and garden welcoming families, history and horticulture enthusiasts alike to enjoy the medieval and Elizabethan house, formal garden, adventure playground, gift shop, café, and wider 2,500 acre parkland with a collection of public footpaths to discover.
Throughout the year, Penshurst Place hosts a collection of family events included in admission costs, special experiences, workshops and dining experiences for visitors to enjoy. During the winter months of November – February, the main house, gardens and grounds close, but the parkland, cafe and gift shop all remain open, providing a welcome retreat for walkers, cyclers and four-legged friends.
Seasonal garden and event highlights include the annual Glorious Gardens Weekend celebration, the bloom of the 100 metre peony border, the Halloween storytelling, autumn colour and the enchanting Christmas panto hosted in the medieval Baron’s Hall.
