Open Days, Open Mornings & How to Arrange a Visit
Most of the schools below are local-authority-maintained or independent SEND specialist schools, meaning admission is arranged through an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and the local authority, rather than through open enrolment. As a result, many do not hold a public “open day” in the way a mainstream school does — instead they arrange informal individual visits or scheduled tours once a family is at the referral stage. Where a school does run a bookable open day/morning, this is noted clearly below.
Correct as of August 2026. Always confirm directly with the school before travelling, as dates and availability can change.
