The importance of buying the correct school shoe.
As we know children are at school for a substantial period of the year, so getting the correct shoe is paramount.
Being a qualified shoe fitter there are certain factors to consider.
1: Correct size. Sounds simple but if there isn’t what we call wiggle room and growing room then don’t buy them. You also do not want gaps around the ankles or there will be know support provided
2: Style. Don’t just choose the prettiest or cheaper option, all feet are different and they may need a single velcro or double Velcro shoe depending on there width. laces perhaps to provide extra ankle support or a t-bar if you have a high instep.
3: Quality. Buying a brand which you trust and is off the highest quality leather to look after your children’s feet to get through the school year in comfort.
