Sevenoaks School and Solefield School come together to form the Sevenoaks Family of Schools
World-leading IB school, Sevenoaks School, and award-winning Solefield, are coming together to form the new Sevenoaks Family of Schools. This exciting partnership will offer a world-class independent education in the Sevenoaks area for children from age 3 through to 18. This will enrich opportunities for pupils and ensure confidence and choice in independent education for local families.
The Sevenoaks Family of Schools aims to create an environment where every child can flourish, both academically and personally. Both schools will continue to foster a love of learning, academic excellence, and development of character, while embracing the future of education with innovation and flexibility.
Sevenoaks School and Solefield School are neighbours, and their close links and long-standing relationship make this a natural partnership. The schools’ shared values, commitment to academic excellence and outstanding pastoral care will ensure ongoing educational innovation. The combined resources and expertise will enhance educational opportunities and ensure continuity of progress for pupils so that children are even better prepared for the move from prep school through to senior school, whether at Sevenoaks School or elsewhere, and for life beyond.
The Family will give parents the reassurance of a consistent, high-quality education for their children at every stage of their academic journey. From early years through to senior school, it ensures that every child’s needs are met, providing parents with choice in independent education, peace of mind and long-term stability.
Like Sevenoaks School, Solefield joins the new Sevenoaks Family of Schools from a position of strength, with record pupil numbers and healthy waiting lists. Both schools will continue to operate independently, led by their existing leadership teams, and retaining their own individual identity, character and uniforms.
Sevenoaks will continue to run its well-established Service and Partnership programme with other schools and in the local community. This includes hosting sporting events and the Schools Triathlon, running the annual Science Week and allowing schools to use Sevenoaks’ world-class facilities for swimming and many other activities.
