Looking for something different from another soft playdate or boring screen-time this half-term? Visit the Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks with your family at Reuthe’s, a beautiful 11-acre woodland full of discovery and adventure for young explorers.

All week from Tuesday onwards (23-26 October) at Basecamp cafe there is spooktacular pumpkin carving and lots of messy fun. Reuthe’s will provide the carving kits, homemade pumpkin soup and delicious Halloween sweet treats, available to buy in the Basecamp cafe. There will be pumpkins for sale but a great idea is to BYO! All of the fun and none of the mess – we’ll happily clear up after you and yours.

Our regular  children Forest School is running 23rd & 25th Oct between 9am-2.30pm – learn how to build dens and explore our wilderness.

Do you have a young Bear Grylls or Ellen MacArthur in the family? Wild food is everywhere, we just need to know where to find it and what to look for. On 27 October (11-12.30pm), children are invited to join Sarah, an experienced and qualified member of the Association of Foragers on a memorable experience through the woods learning about foraging and plant identification. There will also be warm hot chocolate muddling to enjoy at the end. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

There is also an adult foraging course running with homegrown botanical cocktail making to finish. For more information and to book your places please email us or visit https://reuthes.com/blogs/news/wild-feasts-foraging-cocktail-workshop
