The New Beacon Nursery, for boys and girls from 3 years old, moved to a new, purpose-built, architecturally designed building with its own playground and gardens in January. Set within our beautiful 22-acre school site, the rooms are bright and spacious, equipped with innovative early learning resources that complement our unique curriculum.
The Nursery features a dedicated art area, an age-appropriate library, and indoor and outdoor play areas, including a playground just for the Nursery. The outdoor spaces are a blend of undercover and open-air environments, with a garden, sandpit, and large outdoor playground. Children also have access to The New Beacon’s exceptional facilities, including the Sports Centre, Astro Turf Pitch, Swimming Pool, Art and Music School, Chapel, and Theatre.
Lunch is served in the main school dining hall, helping children become accustomed to the wider school environment. All food is included, offering a nutritious and varied menu to support their growing needs.
Our specialist Music Department plays an integral role in the children’s learning journey, while our dedicated Forest School, led by an exceptional teaching team, enriches their development with activities such as pond dipping, nature walks, outdoor crafts, and gardening. The outdoor classroom in our woodland provides the perfect environment for children to connect with nature and develop new skills.
Our early-years program fosters a love of learning, providing a nurturing space where children can explore, discover, and develop their skills and interests. Early maths, literacy, and phonics skills are introduced to build a strong foundation for future academic success, while hands-on learning, creative arts, and physical activities promote holistic development.
