Francesca Watson – Founder
Born in Germany, into an Army family, I spent my childhood moving every couple of years around the world including Australia, Spain and Bulgaria.
After studying for a degree in Estate Surveying in Nottingham, I headed to London to work in Property and Finance for 12 years before escaping the Big Smoke and heading out to Kent in 2008 with my husband Richard.
Three little boys have followed and Sevenoaks Mums was born in 2010 first as a social networking group and a couple of years later as a website. I’ve loved meeting lots of interesting local mums, with many doing such inspiring things; raising their families, setting up their own businesses, fundraising for many worthy charities and more besides. Long may the adventure continue!
Annabel Evans – Web Content and Marketing
I’m a Kent girl, born and bred and after graduating with an English & Drama degree from St Mary’s University, I (rather surprisingly) fell into a local role in the financial industry. I then made a move to The City as PA to a Director at Barclays for a few years and side stepped over to Internal Comms & Marketing within the banking industry. I had a blast living and working in the City for several years but decided to call it a day when I had my two girls.
Returning to beautiful Sevenoaks with my husband, I took five years out to do mummy things and have since been very fortunate to work part time locally for some inspiring businesses. I found Sevenoaks Mums an invaluable source while I was at home with my children and so I’m thrilled to be a part of the next stage in its exciting growth.
Currently on maternity leave
Following a fun filled secondary life at Tonbridge Grammar School for Girls, I moved to Barcelona to start my career (at Hays) and love for everything Spanish. A year later I moved back in the UK (with a second language under my belt!) and worked for the same company in London but quickly made the move over to advertising to follow my interests. 8 years on, I had worked for several of the big media agencies and enjoyed every minute (well..most of them!).
I had my daughter in March 2015 and quickly found myself relying heavily on the Sevenoaks Mums Network for support, guidance, recommendations and everything in between.
Helen Loder – Digital Sales
I grew up and went to school in Ide Hill and Sevenoaks enjoying an active childhood, swimming, horse riding and sailing. After studying a degree in Fashion & Textiles in Nottingham, where I met my husband, I secured a career in Buying working for High Street retailers. I had many years of fun working and playing hard as a Retail Buyer for Debenhams.
In 1999 we moved back to Sevenoaks buying our first house (that also had a rather grown up allotment) I loved my career that involved hard work, long hours and a lot of travel but after I had my second son in 2009 decided to focus on being a full time Mum and modernising my 1960’s house. A few years later I discovered flexible working and had a couple of years selling kitchen and bakeware with Pampered Chef. I had a lot of fun and met some wonderful people.
I am now starting a new chapter in my life combining the things I love: Sevenoaks, local community, friends and flexible working and supportive friends. I am very excited to be a part of the Sevenoaks Mum’s team.
Camilla Wells – Business Operations & Client Relationships
I’m a local girl, having grown up in Toys Hill, so know this as an area which has long been a fantastic place to raise a family. After studying English and Italian at Leeds University, I went to work in events marketing and then in sponsorship account management. My husband whisked me off to Singapore to live the not-so-hard expat life for nearly four years, which (luckily for me) coincided with having my first two, of three, boys. Whilst out there, I co-founded numama choir for mums and babies, a choir which still runs, both in Singapore and now here in Sevenoaks. Since having my third boy last year, I’ve embarked on a healthy eating mission and in so doing joined forces with some other local mums to create Beyond The Fork. Currently, I work for Sevenoaks Mums, a community I’ve been a loyal fan of since my re-entry to Sevenoaks.
