Check out some great local family walks!

We all know the importance of making time for your family and getting out in the fresh so we asked our knowledgeable mums to share with us some of their go-to pooch friendly cafes and nearby walks. Such lovely places on our doorstep! Enjoy checking them out with or without your furry friends!

Lullingstone Country Park – great dog walks, views, river, lovely cafe and play area.

Trosley Country Park – great buggy friendly dog walk, lovely cafe that uses local bacon, sausages etc, and play area.

High Elms Country Park near Farnborough Village

Andrews Woods behind Polhill – great options for longer or shorter circuits and part-built stick-dens for the kids to play in or add to. Lovely to visit when it’s bluebells season too.

Haysden, round the lake (though only if on lead or easily controlled as birds/fisherman get cross otherwise) good route through to Tonbridge park – great for kids on bikes/pushchairs too, also there’s a hut selling bacon butties, coffees and ice creams.

Dryhill – great for a quick walk followed by lunch at The Kings Head Bessels Green  (you can even book dog friendly tables!) or a cup of tea and slice of cake at the cafe in Sundridge Garden Centre.

Walk through Knole Park (dog needs to be on lead) through Godden Green Woods to The Bucks Head pub in Godden Green – it’s fab and dog friendly.

Ightham Mote and Emmets Gardens both have lovely walks and nice cafes which are dog friendly (outside).

Ashdown Forest (a bit further afield but worth it) then lunch at The Red Lion pub, very dog friendly.

For a short local walk, try Riverhead Woods then coffee at Malabar Riverhead with your dog!
